About me.

I'm a Graphic Designer. Creativity is swirling around in my brain at all times. I have over 23 years experience in the business of Graphic Design and Print Advertising/Marketing. My expertise is in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. I also enjoy photography, music and drinking really, really good coffee.

I really want to love my job, and I want to be proud of what I’m producing. I want to be inspired while drinking good coffee with cool people who like to laugh and work hard. I want to learn a better way, and new tricks. I want to have the urge to stay at work past quitting time... but I won’t, because I need to get home and hang out with my family.

I have been working for print advertising publications for so long that I can do it in my sleep, and I think I have. I’m really good at it... but I want more. I actually used to work in Pagemaker and Freehand to give you an idea of how long I’ve been at it. I’m a mulitasking maniac and can have a conversation while making coffee, while designing a logo, while color-correcting the daylights out of client-supplied low-res web art that they insist on using.

From the beginning, I learned how to design on the job, like so many designers I know. About five years ago I decided to go back to school to refine my talent, build my portfolio and feel creative again. Since then I’ve worked from giant agencies (McCann Worldgroup) to a small local printer. My freelance branding and photography jobs are really where I have learned the most about my drive and passion.
